Runaway Train 2019 | NCMEC

25 years ago, one music video helped recover 21 missing children.

In the late 1990s, The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), Soul Asylum, and director Tony Kaye created the ground-breaking “Runaway Train” music video, which featured images of actual missing children in the United States.

A legendary classic, reimagined.

For the 25th anniversary, we’re collaborating with Jamie N Commons, Skylar Grey and Gallant to remix Soul Asylum’s hit song Runaway Train. But it’s more than just a cover song – it’s a dynamic music video, designed not just for watching, but for bringing home real missing and trafficked kids near you.

61% of recovered children reported to NCMEC are found in the state in which they were missing. The #RunawayTrain25 music video shows images of real missing children in your area. Share the film with your social network, and they will see missing kids closest to their zip code.
