ABOUT
Born and raised in Kennebunkport, Maine, Molly sadly was never allowed by her hippie parents to have the colloquial Maine delicacy of Red Hotdogs. And while she never won big at cow chip bingo, sometimes she tells people she did.
First picking up a camera at age 12, she used the lens and her basement darkroom to learn about people and the world. Early work includes images of local folk at county fairs, forest textures, and brooding teenaged self-portraits.
Molly traded Maine for the Steamy South at age 17, receiving a formal education and degree in Photography from The Savannah College of Art and Design. Surprisingly, the insects are giant, and there’s no Mud Season in Georgia. After SCAD, but before arriving in San Francisco in 2013, she spent several years working as an editorial and commercial photographer in Charleston, SC and Chicago, IL, respectively. The hotdogs were different, but the locals were a delight.
In 2013, after more than a decade of commercial/editorial photography and film production, Molly became a Producer at the San Francisco shop MUH-TAY-ZIK | HOF-FER, helping to earn the honorable distinction of 2014’s AdAge Small Agency of the Year. Over six years, from 20 to 120 employees, she helped grow the agency and it’s reputation for nimble production and inspired content. She joined AKQA in 2019 to oversee the multi-channel international launch of Facebook/Oculus’ Quest VR, and for three years has enjoyed leading production of myriad integrated, multichannel and cutting edge content, products, and experiences for some Silicon Valley’s most innovative tech giants.
She has produced broadcast, online, experiential, digital, print, and audio content for clients including Facebook/Meta/Oculus, Netflix, Webex, Robinhood, Unicef, IBM, Audi, Lyft, Staples, Method, Intel, AAA, The Golden State Warriors, The Washington Nationals, and Albertson’s. She also enjoys producing independent film projects, one of which was selected to screen at the 2015 Emerging Filmmakers Fest at Cannes.
